A Family of 5 Shares This Stylish, Modern Loft (and Everything Has a Place!)
Anaise Prince, a documentary wedding photographer, and her husband have done an impressive feat: Rented this 1400-square-foot loft apartment in Hartford, Connecticut, for 10 years. Over that decade, their rental space and their family has changed; three kids now also call this two-bedroom apartment home.
“Our apartment is a two-bedroom loft, which I guess technically means it’s a one-bedroom with a loft. Our bedroom has no doors,” Anaise admits.
“It’s located in a converted factory building with exposed brick and concrete,” Anaise describes of their apartment. “We have one large window in the entire apartment overlooking the city, and we get to experience the most amazing sunrises and sunsets.”
And although Anaise says she wishes her kids were a bit more tidy, they’ve done an amazing job of keeping their space in shape. “We try hard to keep an organized space with everything in its place, because while the space seems large, we have outgrown it with three children,” she writes. Some of that organization is thanks to her husband, who is a carpenter and has built “all of the furniture in our apartment.”
Along with the gorgeous architecture of the loft’s space, Anaise says they “love modern design, and that can be seen throughout the apartment’s decor.”
