If you feel like you had the worst roommate ever and lived to tell the tale, Hudson Whiskey, a New York-based distiller, is offering up a sweet incentive to spill the story. In exchange for posting the story publicly on social media, they’ll pay half your rent for an entire year.

As the brand explained in their Instagram post, they’re looking for brave souls to share their stories on their own Instagram feeds (gulp!). Between now and June 23 (when the contest closes), they’ll be sharing some of the most bonkers stories on their feed. Then, they’ll choose five winners who will then receive half the rental cost of an average one-bedroom based on their zip codes for an entire year.

Here’s what you need to do: head over to your Instagram feed and post about your roommate story without disclosing names (Hudson Whiskey does note that if the story is “too bad” to share publicly, even without names, they’ll accept stories via direct message). In the post, tag and follow Hudson Whiskey, along with using #HudsonRoomies, #Contest, and #[unique two-character state postal abbreviation] — for example, #NY or #CA. All legal residents in the U.S. over the age of 21 are welcome to enter.

Comments have already begun rolling in on Hudson Whiskey’s announcement post on Instagram — it seems there are plenty of brave souls out there willing to dish on the roommates they hope to never cross paths with again. One user wrote, “My old roommate would spends HOURS in the bathroom, not even exaggerating. Like 2-3 hours at a time,” while another vented, “My college roommate would hit the snooze alarm 10-15 every morning. One day he went to class and I took apart the clock and disabled the snooze. No more issues.” And that’s just a preview of the juicy stories to come.

If you’ve got a story to share, head to Hudson Whiskey’s Instagram page before June 23, and check out the official terms and conditions here.
