Ruggable’s New Washable Rug Collection Is a Tribute to Keith Haring’s Iconic Artwork
It goes without saying that Ruggable is a fan-favorite here at Apartment Therapy – and they’ve been on their A-game with their recent collaborations. Latest in the lineup is the newly-launched Ruggable X Keith Haring collection, which features many of the late artist’s unforgettable pop art designs.
The collection pays homage to some of Haring’s most well-known pieces and highlights his legacy as an activist. Inspired by 1980s New York City and the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community during the AIDS crisis, Haring’s ubiquitous figures are woven into abstract, interlocking patterns on several of the pieces, while others use his original artwork to evoke the same sense of joy and belonging in your own home.
“We’re overjoyed to launch our Ruggable X Keith Haring collection at a time when we could all use more bright, bold, and lively colors and patterns in our living spaces,” said Jeneva Bell, the founder and president of Ruggable. “Haring’s ability to capture the resilience and love of the communities around him in his art is admirable, and we are honored to be able to continue to spread awareness of his passions with Ruggable.”
As with all Ruggable items, each of the 24 rugs and doormats in the collection is machine washable and comes in a two-piece system with a rug pad and interchangeable cover. If you’ve already got a Ruggable in your home, all you need is a new cover (either classic or cushioned) to switch up the look to one of Haring’s timeless works. Take a look at a few of our very favorites below — all rugs are available in sizes ranging from 2′ x 3′ to 9′ x 12′, so you can have a little slice of Keith for every corner of your home.
