A Boho Rustic Victorian Home Is Cozy and Scandi-Inspired

I first came across designer Kyla on Instagram, where she regularly uploads snaps of her Victorian home she shares with her husband, two children, and a dog in St. Werburghs in Bristol. Kyla is certainly not afraid of colors, especially the darker tones. “My style is an eclectic mix of Victorian drama and mid-century coolness with pops of color to lift and tantalize,” Kyla says.

Coming from a background as a painter and decorator from when she first started in the industry, Kyla is quite skilled at creating different zones using a variety of paint finishes. From the hand-painted floorboards, to the dining room wall that’s painted in Onyx Bauwerk color, to the cool wall mural from Rebel walls, to painting vintage furniture (like a chest of drawers in Annie Sloan Graphite), Kyla has perfectly styled each zone and created a home that is truly unique to her.

Favorite Element: Large original sash windows.

Biggest Challenge: Quite dark inside and quite small,
