Name: Sally & Cameron
Location: Toronto — Ontario, Canada

Cameron and I live in a 958 square foot condo. He teaches improv, and I’m a copywriter and mid-century design addict. I grew up in older homes, including a convict-built house in Tasmania, but after years of renting I’d finally had it with century-old plumbing and wiring.

I mix high and low, old and new, mass and handmade. I also like to put a little humor into every space, whether it’s the whale tissue box in the living room or the “For Your Veggies’n’Shit” cutting board (a gift from friends – we’re both vegetarian).

My favourite piece is the ’60s oil painting over the sofa. I picked it up at a flea market 20 years ago, and never tire of looking at it.

My inspirations are Apartment Therapy, ’60s art, fashion and design, and improvisation. If I had to name our style, it’d be “Improvised Modern.”

Thanks, Sally & Cameron!
