Though it was “love” and “wow” at first sight, we still had many things to do to this house. It wasn’t so nice when we moved in. We have DIYed everything, even building on a new corner of the house. We have really restored this house from the ground-up.
It’s lucky my husband is a really handy man, and our daughters have also helped us a lot, too. And now the house is just how we want it and we really love living here. We have fields in the backyard, the sea just round the corner, horses and cows as our neighbors. As a photographer, it’s a dream for me; the house and the outside are my studio.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Vintage with some new, country, dreamy.
What is your favorite room and why? Can’t choose just one, but the living room with my favorite door that opens to the fields and our bedroom are two favorite spots.
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? Oh some vintage piece from the flea market, something French and beautiful.
Any advice for creating a home you love? You have to decorate with feeling, and it has to take some time. I love vintage—and I like new things too—and those two things can look good together. Though sometimes I buy something I can’t resist, then come home and see it doesn’t fit—so my advice is be creative and let it take time so you know it’ll fit perfect.
Thanks, Christina!
