Designer Shea McGee’s Spring Target Line Is Full of Luxe Rattan, Leather, and Soapstone Accents for Less
It seems as though every time new items are added to Target’s Threshold designed with Studio McGee collection, the selection just gets better and better. I was extra excited to see new items from the Spring 2021 collection to begin to drop last Sunday, and if that wasn’t enough, plenty of additional products were released today, with even more to come next month.
It’s tough for me to pick just a few favorites, but I honed in on furniture, accessories, and even artwork from the new assortment. I also highlighted a few best sellers that were released last fall and have been restocked (finally!). You’ll notice a lot of trendy materials for less again this time around, including cane and rattan, leather, and soapstone, which tends to be pretty expensive. Last fall’s hottest items sold out right away, so don’t waste any time on adding these to your cart and checking out if you want to bring a piece of Shea McGee’s laid-back, classic cool style home.
1. Thousand Oaks Wood Scalloped End Table with Drawers
It can be surprisingly difficult to source stylish yet affordable nightstands that blend well with a number of styles, but these wooden beauties fit the bill perfectly. The fluted front detailing is perfect for transitional spaces. If your bedroom is already good to go, you could also try a textural piece like this in the living room, too.

This chair reminds me of similar-looking high-end pieces I’ve spotted and swooned over but couldn’t quite afford. At $230, it’s a fairly budget-friendly solution for living room accent seating. The black-and-white combo is nice and classic on its own but would look beautiful jazzed up with a colorful throw pillow as well.

A trusty woven tray is beyond versatile. Use it on the coffee table to corral remotes and magazines, set it on a bar cart to hold all of your fancy bottles, or keep it on the screened porch for when al fresco entertaining comes back.
