Designer Shea McGee’s Spring Target Line Is Full of Luxe Rattan, Leather, and Soapstone Accents for Less
It seems as though every time new items are added to Target’s Threshold designed with Studio McGee collection, the selection just gets better and better. I was extra excited to see new items from the Spring 2021 collection to begin to drop last Sunday, and if that wasn’t enough, plenty of additional products were released today, with even more to come next month.

It’s tough for me to pick just a few favorites, but I honed in on furniture, accessories, and even artwork from the new assortment. I also highlighted a few best sellers that were released last fall and have been restocked (finally!). You’ll notice a lot of trendy materials for less again this time around, including cane and rattan, leather, and soapstone, which tends to be pretty expensive. Last fall’s hottest items sold out right away, so don’t waste any time on adding these to your cart and checking out if you want to bring a piece of Shea McGee’s laid-back, classic cool style home.
1. Thousand Oaks Wood Scalloped End Table with Drawers
It can be surprisingly difficult to source stylish yet affordable nightstands that blend well with a number of styles, but these wooden beauties fit the bill perfectly. The fluted front detailing is perfect for transitional spaces. If your bedroom is already good to go, you could also try a textural piece like this in the living room, too.

2. C’est la Vie Framed Wall Art
Oui, oui — this piece is going into my cart ASAP! This framed print would look lovely incorporated into a gallery wall, but it would also be super chic leaning on a dresser or a vanity. For just $20, you can’t go wrong, wherever you end up putting it.

3. Lark Metal Frame Accent Chair with Loose Cushions
This chair reminds me of similar-looking high-end pieces I’ve spotted and swooned over but couldn’t quite afford. At $230, it’s a fairly budget-friendly solution for living room accent seating. The black-and-white combo is nice and classic on its own but would look beautiful jazzed up with a colorful throw pillow as well.
Buy: Lark Metal Frame Accent Chair with Loose Cushions White – Threshold designed with Studio McGee, $230.00
4. Decorative Banana Leaf Rectangle Woven Tray
A trusty woven tray is beyond versatile. Use it on the coffee table to corral remotes and magazines, set it on a bar cart to hold all of your fancy bottles, or keep it on the screened porch for when al fresco entertaining comes back.
Buy: 26″ x 16″ Decorative Banana Leaf Rectangle Woven Tray with Cut Off Handles Brown – Threshold designed with Studio McGee, $45.00
5. Portola Hills Caned Door Console with Shelves Natural
Everyone’s favorite rattan console from last fall’s collection is back, but this time around, it’s in a new light wood finish. Try one as a bar cart, a record player stand, an entryway table — you name it! This piece looks like a true mid-century modern piece, only with a very wallet-friendly price tag.

6. Rubberwood Pedestal Serving Bowl
This serving bowl is a piece that’s both functional and beautiful; you’ll want to keep it displayed on your kitchen shelving at all times when it isn’t in use. It would also look lovely filled with pinecones or other seasonal accents on a coffee table.
Buy: Rubberwood Pedestal Serving Bowl – Threshold designed with Studio McGee, $25.00
7. Decorative Stone Wood Ball Natural
Shelf styling just got way easier, thanks to this eye-catching yet affordable decorative ball, which is the perfect curvy contrast to all of your clean-lined books. The options are endless, though; it would also look beautiful sitting on a console table.
