Consider faux shearling-style furniture and accessories the athleisure of the home design world. Because there’s nothing cozier and more comfortable than these super soft, knubby materials that are basically meant to mimic a sheep’s fleece. You’ve probably worn these trends before, so why not deck your place out in it too? These days, it’s not a difficult thing to do. I mean, just look at the amazing sofa above by Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent for Living Spaces. I’d say the wide availability of shearling-style everything has grown out of our obsession with hygge and all things cozy. Even Gwyneth Paltrow had a now-sold-out shearling chair in her goop x CB2 collection.

Not looking for an investment piece right now? No problem. You can easily add a shearling-style pouf to your living room seating situation.

And then there’s bedding. I thought this concept might stop at throw pillows and shams, but no, there are full-on faux shearling comforters and duvets out there! Beyond the softness factor, I think these top-of-bed items are also a great way to add texture and interest to a room while still allowing it to be visually quiet.

Faux-shearling-covered benches, ottomans, and occasional chairs are another option. What I like about these is the contrast between the plush fleece upholstery and the hard metal or wooden legs that most of these pieces seem to have. These clean-lined materials provide the structure that full shearling-style furniture is otherwise lacking.

Trendy channel back tuft? Check. Insane price point? This sofa has that too. I cannot believe how spot-on Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent’s new collection for Living Spaces is, and this couch is no exception.

Curl up with this fluffy reversible blanket that has faux shearling on one side and a high-pile plush on the other. I love the blush colorway, but it comes in 15 other shades if you’re totally over pink.

Quite possibly the softest storage basket on the planet so this style from UGG is a very kid-friendly option. Maybe the softness will even motivate them to pick up their toys?

This rocker is such a steal. It’d be amazing in a nursery, but could also hang in a rustic modern living room.
