Sherwin-Williams’ 2022 Color of the Year Delivers a Cozy, Restorative Feel
So far, green has dominated 2022 Color of the Year choices, each one bringing something new to the table. And today, Sherwin-Williams adds to that by announcing their own selection: Evergreen Fog (SW 9130), which celebrates the moment green is having while differentiating itself through its gray warmth.
The green-gray hue is calm and collected, stemming from the Method palette in the Sherwin-Williams 2022 Colormix Forecast that prides itself on embracing “creativity, intention, and discovery,” according to a press release. During a time where designing the outdoors is just as important as the indoors, Evergreen Fog is meant to be an easy color selection to use in any parts of the home.
“Evergreen Fog is a sophisticated wash of color for spaces that crave a subtle yet stunning statement shade,” said Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams. “Evergreen Fog inspires us to begin again and is a great choice for modern interiors and exteriors.”
When it comes to infusing Evergreen Fog into your home, Wadden says that it does well with an array of neutrals like Shoji White (SW 7042), Accessible Beige (SW 7036), and Woven Wicker (SW 9104). And adding a slight gleam of metallics through shades like Bakelite Gold (SW 6368) and Urbane Bronze (SW 7048) will contribute a luxe look against the green-gray.
While Sherwin-Williams 2022 Color of the Year is created with home in mind, Wadden says that the color is good for delivering a refresh for any environment, from the work space to a restaurant and inside a hotel. In other words, the cozy ambience of Evergreen Fog can work anywhere and everywhere.
