Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: This is a huge collab with my boyfriend and me! This is our first apartment. We are moving soon, and I’m feeling nostalgic about it. We worked so hard to make this place our own. From our tiny waving cat in the window to our big green arch I painted on the back wall, it really is a special place. He has taught me a lot about meaningful things. We have lots of tiny knick-knacks scattered all over the apartment to remind us of people who love us and of each other.

I really do love a lot of different styles: boho, mid-century, traditional. I think this is a combo of a lot of them to be honest. I’m a Libra, so naturally I’m indecisive. I think that’s reflected in my apartment. Thank god I have an Aquarius living with me! I also love to paint. And as an artist I struggle with putting up my own art around my home. Greg is the biggest supporter of my art. He’s my hype man.

Sarah describes this as kitchen bar... but I think it's more like a little dining shelf! It looks like something anyone could DIY to create a spot to eat meals in a small space.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Organic mid-century modern

What is your favorite room and why? Obviously the living room! We get such great light in here, and it’s so peaceful, especially when we open our windows.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? My grandparents moved out of their house. They gave me a beautiful rug that now sits under our bed.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Go SLOW! I used to go so fast when moving in and would buy everything right away. But my boyfriend taught me to slow down, find things you really love that mean something to you, and you’ll love your apartment even more!
