Dweller sitting in their colorful and patterned filled apartment.

Name: Camilla Hughes
Location: London, England
Type of home: Studio apartment
Size: Not sure, but very small!
Years lived in: 5.5 years, renting

Camilla Hughes has been renting this small studio apartment in London for 5.5 years: Think layering carefully curated pastel pieces with checkerboard prints and lots of plants (real and artificial!). I live alone, so I have the freedom to make my home exactly how I like it.

I’m a London lifestyle and food blogger with a passion for living a colorful, happy life. I believe that a colorful home equals a happy mind!

My little London home is my way of expressing my creativity and giving myself a daily dopamine boost.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or fewer: Girly pastel maximalism.

What is your favorite room and why? My living area. I love my pink sofa; it was the first piece I bought when I moved in. And the fairy light curtain behind the TV makes it a calming place to be in the evening — a great place to unwind. A peaceful space in a busy area of central London.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? These shell tumblers and strawberry cushion. I love unusual and cute pieces.

Any advice for creating a home you love? It doesn’t matter how small your space is — you can always make it beautiful!
