Natalie Walker, her wife, and their dog have moved eight times in the past 12 years. Natalie explains that, with each move, “We got a new perspective on what we enjoy in a space, how big of a space do we really need, how we want our space to function, and lastly what’s most important to us to have in our home!”

The couple has only lived in this 437-square-foot studio apartment in Montclair, New Jersey, for two months, but Natalie explains they already “had most of the furniture and items that we loved” to decorate their new small home. “Every item in our home we chose because it had a memory, a function, or made us happy overall. This has created a space for us that is minimal and full of life,” Natalie writes.
