Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi of “Jersey Shore” fame appeared on an episode of “MTV Cribs” to show fans around her leopard print palace. When she invited cameras into the bedroom (complete with a leopard print bedspread), Snooki took a minute to explain why she has a portrait of her cat dressed like an angel next to her bed.

“A lot of people do come in my room and are like, ‘Why do you have a picture of your cat?’ This is my best friend [and] brother,” she said. “I got Rocky when I was 13 and then he died, so any time that I’m sad or upset, I just turn around and look at Rocky, and he’s watching over me in his angel clothes.”

Custom pet portraits have blown up in popularity in recent years, which means it’s easy to get your hands on your very own Rocky angel portrait (except, you know, it’s your cat).

Though you can commission a portrait artist to reimagine your pet as a heavenly angel in pastel, watercolor, or oil, there are also a handful of digital artists on Etsy who have mastered the art of photoshopping your pet’s face onto hilarious templates.

For example, Etsy seller CanvasArchive can expertly blend your cat’s head onto a Regency-era noble, a Queen Victoria look-a-like, or even Elvis.

And if you’re inspired by Snooki’s angelic memorial portrait, Etsy seller Doggovinci offers a super similar angel portrait that is completely customizable.

Just send in a high-resolution and well-lit photo of your pet, and let the artist get to work.

Most digital artists either give you printing options or send you a digital file so you can print the piece yourself on whatever backing you choose. Just read the full listing description before you make your purchase to ensure you’re on the same page as the artist.
