Thanks to TikTok trends, certain vintage collector’s items have been on the rise in recent years, from the cute pastel Lenox Village Spice Houses to Depression-era colored glassware. Now, though, there’s an ongoing social media frenzy over a new collectible product, and you absolutely have to see these quirky little figurines that Urban Outfitters can barely keep in stock.

Say hello to the Blind Box Figures from Sonny Angel, aka cherub-like, under-three-inch-tall little winged dolls made in Japan. These come in a range of different “series” with corresponding headwear (either fruit, vegetable, or animal motifs). The full line includes a whopping 650+ different figurines, but Urban Outfitters currently carries 12 potential options (and reviewers raved about the brand’s selection).

You’re probably wondering, “What’s so special about a little angel figure?” Well, the main draw to these collectibles is that they’re a complete surprise. You have no absolutely no idea which individual style you’re getting until you open the package, hence the Blind Box name. The Urban Outfitters site lets you choose your series, but it could be anything from a giraffe to an elephant.

TikTokers have taken to showing off their Sonny Angel unboxings, as well as extensive figurine collections. So not only are these incredibly fun and suspenseful to source, but they also double as unique, funky decor. One TikTok user dedicated an entire glass IKEA cabinet to putting them on display, while another turned them into car accessories.

Note that the Sonny Angel figures are final sale from Urban Outfitters, so you can’t return whichever Blind Box style you get. That said, they make the perfect $12 stocking stuffer or sweet little decor pick-me-up — the packaging even promises to “bring you happiness.”
