Look, sometimes regular wall paint or wallpaper just doesn’t cut it. If glitter is your favorite color, then you’re simply going to swoon when you see this iridescent accent wall that has gone viral on TikTok — and it’s a project you can do yourself in just a few hours.

“The only thing that could make my rhinestone piano better is this wall,” Manda Hansen (@mandacreatespretty) said in a January video that shows the process of creating her glitter getaway.

“It was literally the easiest thing ever,” Manda said of the project. She first painted the wall behind her piano white to ensure she gets the most glitter bang for her buck. Then, it was time to hang the shimmer panels, which she actually grabbed on Amazon.

Using just a few nails to make the panels flush with the ceiling, Manda was able to hook several panels together to cover the entire wall, using wire cutters when needed to expose outlets and make the panels fit perfectly in the space.

The panels Manda used are the Wokceer Sequin Shimmer Wall Backdrop panels on Amazon. This brand offers the panels in a handful of different colors like black, pink, silver, white, and rose gold, but there are actually a bunch of different iridescent panels available for sale on Amazon — just search “Shimmer Wall Backdrop” to find panels in your preferred color.

Now, this DIY isn’t necessarily cheap. The Wokceer set comes with 24 panels and retails for $100. So, to cover the wall behind her piano, Manda said she dropped abou $300.

But, the final result kind of seems totally worth the money, especially if you live for all things glitter and sparkle. Put a little oscillating fan across the room to make sure you get maximum shimmer and you have yourself a new favorite spot in your house.
