Sadly, it may be awhile before we can get back on track with our to-travel list. Flying internationally is a no-go these days due to the coronavirus pandemic, and no one can really say when it will be okay to leave the country (or even state) again. But, have no fear. Skyscanner, a flight and travel booking company, has put together several Spotify playlists that will make you feel like you’re dining alfresco in Brazil, partying with your fellow K-pop fans, or road-tripping through your own backyard.

“It goes without saying that music is often our biggest means of escape,” Skyscanner writes on their website. “Our favorite tracks have the power to elevate us, comfort us, and transport us somewhere else entirely…Which is why, here at Skyscanner (well, from our humble homemade desks around the world), we feel we need it more than ever right now.”

The company compiled eight unique playlists on Spotify that encompass songs from around the world that “capture some of our travel memories and define our favorite destinations,” as the company states. And they plan to keep creating playlists throughout the upcoming months.

One such playlist is Disco Africa, which includes a vintage variety of West African tunes that were danced to back in 1970s Nigeria.

Or, head to Brazil with Skyscanner’s Brazillian Breeze playlist, a combination of bossa nova, funk, soul, and “jazz-infused melodies.”

Then there’s Sonic Landscapes, filled with tracks that will “take you on a sonic journey across some otherworldly landscapes.”

You can also bring the music festival experience into your own home with the Front Room Festival playlist, or chill out with tunes on the Travel Folk playlist.

Head over to Skyscanner’s Spotify account to see their full library of travel-inspired playlists and pretend you’re jetsetting all over the world. And stay tuned to see what other categories the team comes up with.
