This Unique Apartment in a Historic Church Has Stunning Stained Glass
There are rental apartments that are plain, boring, and blank. And then there are apartments that are dripping with architectural detail. Eva Rowland and her roommate (along with Siggy the cat and Stella the dog) rent one of the latter — an apartment in a church in Denver built in the late 1800s.

“My roommate and I are most inspired by nature and collecting fun pieces of furniture and art. Our home is a mix of vintage and handmade furniture, mostly collected by local artists (Thanks to Facebook Marketplace).”
Because of when the church was built, Eva and her roommate pulled design inspiration for their home from the Art Nouveau era. But, being in their 20s, they are also on a budget and explain that they “aren’t rolling in dough. There’s a lot of space to be furnished. Luckily, this has forced us to take our time. Most of our best ideas have appeared past the six-month mark,” Eva writes.
They explain the biggest challenges were the size of the space and trying to figure out the layout of each room. “The spaces are so large and there was no set space for a dining room, living room, etc. It’s taken us quite a few months to come up with a layout that looks beautiful and is fully functional.” You can see more of Eva’s home on Instagram and TikTok.
