Stan Lee’s Former San Francisco Condo is for Sale, and It’s Under 800 Square Feet
Are your spidey senses tingling? If so, that’s because you now have the chance to live in the Marvel-ous former home of the late comic book legend Stan Lee.
His condo in the Four Seasons Residences in San Francisco just went on the market on Friday. Located on the 22nd floor, we doubt it would’ve been much of a challenge for Spider-Man to reach.
With an asking price of $1.35 million, the one-bedroom, one-bathroom vacation property was Lee’s pied-a-terre where he often stayed with his daughter when visiting San Fran. It’s being sold by the Lee Family 1985 Trust.
“There are huge collectors out there of Stan Lee paraphernalia/swag,” the listing agent, Sean Mamola of Climb Real Estate, told Realtor.com. “Whoever purchases this will have an amazing living experience. … [And they’ll] have an amazing connection to the Stan Lee legacy.”
Although it comes in at just 792 square feet, the east-facing unit feels much more spacious thanks to tall ceilings, large windows, and breathtaking views of the downtown skyline. Other highlights include Brazilian cherry floors, stainless-steel kitchen appliances, granite countertops, and a marble bathroom. There’s ample closet space for superhero costume storage, and a stacked washer-dryer.
Being located in the Four Seasons, a combined condo and hotel building built in 2001, has its perks, too, including 24-hour security and doorman service, housekeeping, around-the-clock room service, a bar/restaurant, and an Equinox gym. Of course, with the building’s 142 residential units being sequestered away on the top floors, as well as a private reception area, Lee didn’t have to mingle with his many fans unless he wanted to.
Lee—who died at age 95 in November—“loved San Francisco,” Mamola told Realtor.com. “This is where he would stay.”
The writer, editor, publisher, and producer is best known for creating some of the most legendary superheroes in all comics for Marvel, such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Incredible Hulk.
