“Having a home that could serve as a sanctuary for all of us, supporting both our growth and our ideas, was what mattered most,” Khari Clarke and Bridget Thompson explain about their search for an apartment in London.

Both Khari, owner of a vintage and vinyl-selling business, and Bridget, who has a background in corporate strategy, are creatives and manage Su Casa, a home and lifestyle platform. The pair initially started the account to document their move from New York to London, but it has since expanded.

“We explore interiors, fashion, parenthood, and travel,” the couple explains. “At its heart, Su Casa is about building a life with intention and sharing that journey thoughtfully as it unfolds.”

When the couple moved to London, they were initially renting an “overpriced and too small” one-bedroom apartment in a luxury high-rise. It’s fair to assume that the living situation wasn’t conducive to creative energy, so they moved to a two-bedroom apartment in Stratford, East London. For a few months, that space was working until they realized they were expecting their future baby, Kobe. Luckily, they found the perfect spot one floor down.

“What drew us to this apartment was its spaciousness, especially in the living and dining area. We spend most of our time in the living room; it’s where we come together as a family, collaborate on creative ideas, or simply do nothing and enjoy the stillness,” the couple says. “Along with the open space, the natural light and canal views sealed the deal for us. The tranquility of the view had us sold.”

Another bonus? The apartment is within their price range, while also providing Khari with the space he needs to work remotely and Kobe with a nursery she can grow into as time goes on. They’ve lived there for one year, but it’s transformed into such a cozy, creative home.
