Whether you’re starting from scratch with a new reno (lucky!) or just looking for a simple update or refresh for your kitchen, changing up your hardware is a small way to make a big impact. Kitchen hardware is one of those design elements where form is equally as important as function and, while there are tons of choices out there, who doesn’t want a little gold sprinkled throughout their kitchen? The trend of brass in the kitchen looks and feels fresh and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, so it’s a safe bet. Let’s take a deep dive into your best options…

Of course, there’s endless design possibilities out there when it comes to kitchen hardware, but if you think that you might want brass, you’ve got a great place to start. Then, it’s time to consider the different design styles. Let’s take a look at four main categories: bin pulls, bar pulls, ring pulls and, of course, knobs.

All hardware styles can be versatile, it really depends on your whole kitchen design. Bin pulls, for example, can look great in a very traditional or farmhouse kitchen but look equally as good in a more modern room, like this kitchen designed by DeVOL Kitchens. Look how that brass pops against the color! If you like the bin pull hardware look, here’s a few options to consider:

If you like really clean and straight lines then bar pulls are the way to go. They work in so many different kitchen designs and they really are a modern classic. In this kitchen by Elizabeth Lawson Design, they mix perfectly with more traditional brass lighting elements. If you like this slick look, here are some options to take a look at:

If glam is your thing and you like to make every design element in your kitchen a noticeable one then go for the gold, literally. Fill your kitchen with some chunky ring pull hardware to glam up your space as was done in this fabulous kitchen by Christine Dovey. If you’re ready to glam it up, then you’ll want to take a look at one of these ring pull options:

Lastly, don’t underestimate the impact of a simple brass knob design. If you’re looking for a subtle pop of gold in your kitchen then these are a great option. Design variations of knobs can create a style from classic to modern. The unfussy brass knobs in this modern farmhouse kitchen designed by the Sarah Richardson Design Team perfectly balance out the other more dramatic brass highlights in the space. If you’re looking for a straightforward, yet slightly more stylish alternative to super-simple knob pull hardware, then these are for you:
