It’s likely been awhile since you hopped on a plane for fun. Suki, a famous internet feline with a travel bug, is helping us go on adventures…through Instagram.

Suki, a Bengal kitty who has 1.8 million followers on Instagram and has a book coming out called “Travels of Suki the Adventure Cat,” has been all around the world with her parents Martina Gutfreund and Kenny Hildebrandt, who are based in Alberta, Canada.

Although 3-year-old Suki and her parents haven’t been doing much travel as of late, they’ve been reposting old photos on her Instagram feed. On a post uploaded March 20, Gutfreund and Hildebrandt wrote, “Things have been very heavy around the world in the last while. We have been staying home with Suki since this all began, and do not plan on traveling outside of Alberta until the situation stabilizes. We hope Suki can still spread a little spark of light to many corners of the world while we wait. All of us are in this boat together, and we will come through on the other side.” The photo that went along with the caption was pretty purrrfect.

Not only is Suki a travel influencer, but she’s got great interior decor tastes as well. Check out this cozy bedroom that’s got some major wilderness inspiration.

Suki has been to places like Mexico, Italy,  Germany, and different spots around Canada and the U.S. Before getting a cat, her parents did some research on the best cat suited for a wanderlust lifestyle.

Gutfreund tells PEOPLE, “I knew that if we would get another kitty it would be so much easier if we never had to leave it behind on trips. That’s where Suki came in. I did a lot of research trying to figure out what kind of cat might be up for the challenge, and have enough energy to enjoy an adventurous lifestyle. I came across the Bengal breed, most accounts suggested that this breed is an absolute handful…and boy was the search ever accurate. Suki is the personification of energy, this is no kitty for the house cat life.”

After Suki grew acclimated to her harness and leash, her parents slowly began taking her on trips. In case the kitty got tired or needed a break, Gutfreund said she brings supplies (including treats) with her to make sure Suki is always comfortable. “Suki demands payment for modeling, so we are certain to get a whole lot of sass if we forget [treats],” she tells PEOPLE.

So how exactly do Suki’s parents/managers get her to pose so well for all these photos? Gutfreund tells Insider, “Suki generally just likes to sit and take it all in, so that part is pretty easy! I also put my camera settings on high continuous shoot mode with a fast shutter speed, which makes it much easier to capture a good shot even if the moment lasted a split second.”

Suki’s adventurous and brightly colored Instagram is a reminder that, although we’re temporarily all stuck inside right now, there’s still a lot of beauty in the world. “At the base level, I hope that the visually-pleasing and captivating imagery can create a whimsical escape from the everyday monotony that our lives can sometimes have,” Gutfreund tells PEOPLE.
