If you’re hoping to fill your walls with art but are wary of spending a fortune, IKEA might have the perfect solution for you. In a recent TikTok, content creator Charlsie (@aleagueofherhome) shared her DIY hack for getting enormous art on a budget.

“I’m going to show you how to get a huge piece of Gothic wall art for under $100,” Charlsie says to kick off the video, noting that “it will work with any home decor style, though.”

To start, you’ll need a tapestry or wall banner, whether you thrift an eye-catching one or find a new one with custom art from sites like Etsy or Society6. Although there are plenty of large framing options, Charlsie opted to use IKEA’s BJÖRKSTA 78” x 55” frame ($52.99), which comes in a neutral black color. She notes that the frame “makes it easy to swap out your wall art whenever you feel like it,” thanks to its easy assembly — it comes in a few pieces, which can be quickly be screwed together in the frame’s corners.

To get started, set your tapestry within the frame and press the frame’s built-in plastic pieces along its border, adjusting it until it’s to your liking. Don’t worry about having extra fabric or ordering a piece that doesn’t fit within the frame’s confines perfectly. You can cut extra fabric off, or — as is Charlsie’s personal preference — fold that extra fabric over and secure it on the back of the frame with tape. Then, voila! Giant wall art, for a reasonable price.

Clearly, plenty of viewers are eager to try Charlsie’s hack for themselves. Since the video was posted a few days ago, it’s accrued over 6,000 likes and 57,000 views.

“LOVE IT!!” one TikToker wrote, while another pointed out: “Ooh. This could make for a really cool headboard without having to attach anything to your bed!”
