Target’s TikTok-Famous Talking Jack-O’-Lantern Is Back in Stock (There’s Even a $10 Mini Version!)
Now that summer is finally over, it’s time to get your home ready for spooky season. It’s never too early to start decorating, in my opinion, and luckily there has been no shortage of inspiration on social media lately. Skelly, The Home Depot’s 12-foot-tall skeleton that’s gone viral for years, is finally back in stock after shoppers snatched them all up in July. Another one you can’t miss is Pottery Barn’s constantly sold-out Gus the Ghost pillow — and all of the other adorable plushies in the collection, for that matter.
Target’s Lewis the Pumpkin Ghoul stole the hearts of social media users last year, earning two million likes on a single post, and just a few days ago the internet met his return with equal fanfare. The 8-foot-tall decoration — that became famous for his “I am not a jack-o’-lantern” catchphrase — is now available online. He didn’t come back alone, either: There’s also a $10 baby version if you want the look for less! Last season, Lewis was gone in the blink of an eye after making the rounds on TikTok, so he (and his mini-me) likely won’t last long. Find out why else shoppers can’t get enough of him below!
What Is Hyde & EEK! Boutique’s Lewis The Pumpkin Ghoul?
It’s no wonder Lewis has become so popular: He’s the sassiest Halloween decoration around. At first glance, he makes for an imposing figure with his tattered robe and enormous build. His pumpkin-shaped head even lights up underneath his hood and emits eerie, motion-activated sounds. However, these features are all offset by his hilarious dialogue, which is what he’s become best known for. At the press of a button, he proclaims, “I am not a jack-o’-lantern. My name is Lewis,” followed by a mischievous laugh. There’s no way that Lewis won’t be an instant hit with trick-or-treaters.
Unfortunately, not all of us have the space for an 8-foot-tall ghoul — but Target has a solution for that. There’s a $10 baby Lewis that you can hang and pose wherever and however you want. Although he doesn’t speak like his larger counterpart, his light-up face will make him stand out among the rest of your decorations. He’s also a little over two feet tall, which makes him perfect for apartments.
Although Lewis is definitely the star of the show, Target has given him some friends this year, too. Among them is Bruce the skeleton, who you can see in all his glory in the video below. Bruce’s cheekiness appears to rival Lewis’ (and he sings, to boot!).
What Target Shoppers Are Saying
Average Rating: 4.6/5
“I love Lewis! He doesn’t move or anything, but just his presence and voice make him so amazing! I couldn’t believe how tall he was when I got him all put together. Assembly was very easy and instructions were clear. There is a timer function and volume control. I can’t wait to put him up every year for Halloween! My kids love him, too!” —Awaters91
“He arrived on November 1 so unfortunately we didn’t get to see how scary he was for our trick-or-treaters — we’ll have to wait for next year! He is BIG! I love the motion-activated sounds and lights and how you can easily control the volume. The pieces were mislabeled for assembly, but it was easy to figure out how to put ‘Louie’ together! He seems sturdy and will provide Halloween entertainment for years to come!” —Cmh03
“When we decided to decorate for Halloween for the first time in years, I knew we had to get Lewis. Everyone loves him. I’m glad we were able to get him before he sold out.” —SJ
While Lewis has been spotted in a few stores, you won’t find him at every Target location. Plus, considering that he was cleared off shelves so quickly last year, he probably won’t stick around for long. Lewis will instantly become the star of your neighborhood this season, so don’t wait to snag him for yourself!
