Here’s How You Can Always Get the Lowest Price at Target
As it turns out, products at Target can go on sale — even if they’re not holding one.
Vivian Tu, a finance content creator best known as @yourrichbff, has shared a little-known policy at Target that lets you get discounts instantly. Here’s how it works: say you find a product that you think is overpriced, you can check competitors like Amazon and Walmart, and if their prices are cheaper, you can ask Target to lower their price to match.
Basically, with this this price match policy, you’ll never have to overpay when shopping at Target. You can get the same price there that you would find in other retailers.
“While standing in line, I always Google any high-priced items I’m buying, click on the links if the products are cheaper, and show the cashier my phone,” said The Krazy Coupon Lady. “They adjust the price immediately. No manager, no forms, no nothing.”
You can apply this policy in different ways, too. You can ask for a price match at one of their stores or do it online. You can show competing retailers’ prices via your phone or cut out a printed ad.
Also, if you’ve already bought an item, then see it cheaper elsewhere, you have 14 days to get the difference refunded. All you need to bring is the receipt (or purchase history in your Target Circle account) and proof of the item being cheaper in other places.
What’s also great is that there’s no limit to the number of items you can price match per day (just make sure you’re not holding up the line at checkout).
