It’s no secret that Taylor Swift loves a good DIY project. She hand-embroidered a blanket for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s baby, Daisy, and she’s a homemade jam, watercolor, and needlepoint queen. So it seems fitting that DIYers are major Swift fans, and they love to listen while they work.

A January 2021 research project by the U.K.-based company Roofing Megastore analyzed over 70,000 songs in DIY playlists for activities including painting, decorating, gardening, plumbing, and assembling flat-pack furniture, and Taylor Swift appeared on the most playlists — 659 of them, in fact.

Also on the list of top artists for DIY project playlists? Billie Eilish, Tame Impala, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Mac Miller, Harry Styles, Arctic Monkeys, Hozier, and Post Malone.

The company also studied the most popular songs on DIY playlists. Where individual songs are concerned, “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac takes the No. 1 spot. Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff” a go-to for assembling flat-pack furniture and, for general home improvement, Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” was added to playlists most often. (You can’t revamp your guest bathroom without a spark, I suppose!)

You can read the full results of the study here and listen to the top 50 songs here. Happy listening, and happy DIY-ing!
