Since I started testing home products, I went from owning three sets of bedsheets to almost 20. It only took a few months for sheets to start coming out of my ears, and when I truly couldn’t squeeze any more storage out of my tiny studio apartment, I started passing some off to friends . Why would I hold onto them for so long? Well, I like having options: linen for summer, printed sheets for when I want to jazz up my apartment’s look, flannel for fighting the draft that comes from my window, etc.

Sadly, I’ve been forced to part with some that I’ve absolutely loved so that my apartment wouldn’t become completely overrun by sheets. However, there are others that I’ve held onto for over a year, ever since the early days of this gig. I first tried out The Company Store’s jersey sheets two summers ago, and I’ve regularly put them on my bed ever since. They’ve even made our Best List two years in a row! They’re my most versatile set, getting softer and softer after every wash — and right now, they’re included in the brand’s sitewide sale.

What Is the Company Cotton Classic Easy-Care Jersey Knit Bedsheet Set?

From nylon to bamboo, I’ve tried pretty much every sheet material you can think of, but I find myself going back to jersey-knit cotton more often than not. Like The Company Store describes, it’s “just as relaxed and broken-in as your favorite T-shirt.” Because of the way the material is woven together loosely, it feels stretchier and softer than something like percale. Further, because it’s about as far from stiff and crinkly as you can get, these sheets are less likely to wrinkle. You also don’t have to wash it a ton to get it feeling seriously cozy — right out of the gate, it’ll wow you throughout all of the seasons.

The Company Store’s set also has the benefits of fitting mattresses up to 16 inches deep and coming in a wide range of colors, from neutral white to eye-catching light blue. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100-certified, meaning that it’s free of harmful chemicals.

Why I Love the Company Cotton Jersey Knit Sheets

I always look forward to getting into bed at the end of the day — even more than I usually do — when I have these jersey sheets on my bed. First of all, they liven up my room; I opted for the almost entirely sold-out pink color, which is vibrant and hasn’t faded a bit from washing. More importantly, though, the weight is absolutely perfect for me, as someone whose apartment gets seriously hot in the summer and uncomfortably chilly in the winter. This set has performed wonderfully through it all. Not once have I woken up drenched in sweat, whether it’s paired with a heavy comforter during the cold months or a lightweight quilt in the warmer ones.

What’s more, these sheets don’t budge or get dislodged at the corners, even with my thick mattress topper underneath them. When it does come time to take them to the wash, they’re one of my easiest sets to care for — I just set the machine on the gentle setting and dry it on low. Over the past year and a half, not only has the color remained in pristine condition, but the texture has also, with no piling or fraying. Further, they don’t need to be steamed afterward to look wrinkle-free.

Now that it’s on sale, I’m tempted to grab another color, even though I have no plans to retire my original set anytime soon. That way, when one is in need of washing, I’ll have another ready to go! Plus, the matching comforter and shams are marked down right now, so I can deck my entire bed out in the same gorgeous color for less, too.
