This project was such a drastic change and so much fun! This was months in the making – between backorders and busy summers, we were finally able to finish my friend’s master bedroom! From basic and drab to classy and chic, it was a fun and drastic reveal!

When I did the first initial consult, my friend said she never really thought to decorate her master. It’s a HUGE master bedroom and had so much potential! We decided to go with an updated traditional design that was calming and relaxing. I think we accomplished just that!

My first impressions were we need to paint, add new window coverings, put in bookshelves for more storage, and get a smaller couch. My friend rarely used the huge sectional so we knew we’d be okay downsizing the seating. We chose to do a blue/teal back wall with a gloss stenciled Moroccan design. We then painted the rest of the room with a taupe/gray.

The frame wall was a collection of frames and pictures from Home Goods and Hobby Lobby. The sitting area portion of their room was the biggest transformation. We had custom bookshelves made to go around the fireplace and added plantation shutters to the windows. We got rid of all of the existing furniture and filled the space with updated pieces. We sourced to about 10 different places but mainly used Pottery Barn, Wayfair, Target, and Overstock.
