The number of chairs that I have in my apartment has reached an embarrassing level, but I’m honestly not even that ashamed. I’m just constantly drawn to so many different styles, from funky peacock chairs to classic cane designs. I’m always arranging and rearranging to make room for new finds, like this on-trend Windsor chair I picked up at Target. And the best part—at least in my opinion—is that this super stylish piece of seating works just as well inside as it does outdoors.

I purchased a single black Windsor chair last spring to use at a desk/vanity area in my bedroom, and I fell in love with the look right away. While it’s technically labeled a patio chair, it’s clear from the product reviews that I’m not the only one who thought it would also make a great indoor option. There’s something about the chair’s clean lines and solid black color that just makes it visually appealing from the get-go. It doesn’t require a throw pillow or additional styling to look chic; the design itself does all the talking. As reviewers have noted, the chairs are great for those looking to create an industrial or modern farmhouse look at home.

My roommate and I are fortunate enough to share our own private roof deck, which is our favorite place to hang out and entertain during warmer months. The roof has built-in wraparound seating already, but it doesn’t go around the entirety of our outdoor table. Last summer, I decided to place the chair outside to allow for guests to better face one another while gathering around to sit and eat, and it’s stayed out there ever since!

What’s amazing is how well this piece has held up over the past year, having sat outside for countless rainstorms, several snowfalls, and much more. The metal material is quite heavy duty! That said, the chair itself, while sturdy, is easy for one person to carry on their own, which is a feature that I find key, especially in a small space. Having the option to move a desk chair into the living room is always a positive when seating is at a premium.

While I only purchased one chair from this collection, I would gladly order more if we ever end up redecorating our kitchen—at under $50, they’re an amazing budget buy. My friend (and fellow interior design blogger) Heather Bien styled a set of Windsor chairs around her Tulip table (she actually inherited the set from her grandmother and repainted them), and they look stunning!
