The Top-Rated Sheets at Costco.com Have Us Second Guessing Everything We Thought We Felt About Sheets
I once heard a designer (whose name I cannot remember) say something that stuck with me. The exact phrasing escapes me, but the gist was that you should be investing your money in the items that you touch daily. The closer to your skin, the more you should consider spending. It makes total sense, as these are the things in your home you likely use more than anything. And sheets are one of those items.
As a hardcore believer that good sheets are a must-have luxury, I was intrigued to find that the highest rated sheets on Costco.com (one of my new favorite stores when it comes to unexpected home finds…after all, they are the ones who sell the greatest towels ever) were microfiber. I’m a washed cotton or cotton percale sheet girl, honestly, and the only experience I have with microfiber sheets are the ones in my mom’s guest bedroom that make me hot and itchy when I visit (sorry mom!). So, color me shocked when 83 people gave this non-cotton sheet set a perfect 5-star rating. If the glowing reviews are any indication, maybe they’re worth a consideration? Let’s take a closer look:
Here are all the product details from Costco.com:
The luxuriously soft Jennifer Adams Home Eternal Sheet Set will make you want to crawl back into bed the moment you leave it. The 120 GSM microfiber is combed for a buttery soft feel, and easy care. Wrinkle-resistant and incredibly durable, these hotel quality sheets are hypo-allergenic and excellent for people with sensitive skin.
Included in the set: 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, and 2 pillowcases
The cost savings can’t be denied though. A queen-sized sheet set costs $149.99 on the manufacturer’s website, and sells on Costco.com for $94.99. But then again, that’s why we love the warehouse club!
And now, for some die-hard fan remarks:
From Dmr26: I have become a sheet snob!
“Ok so years ago I bought microfiber sheets from Costco and LOVED them. I had been looking for more but Costco didn’t have them anymore. So I bought a really nice expensive pair of sheets from somewhere else, brought them home, washed them, put them on my bed, laid down for a little bit. And I could not even stand the feeling of the sheets touching my skin! lol I have become such a sheet snob! There are no better sheets than microfiber sheets! Shortly after the Jennifer Adams brand came to Costco and I bought the entire bed set. I’m so in love with these sheets it’s unreal. I have never experienced pilling with these sheets. They still look as beautiful as the day I bought them! I’m buying more of them as I write this.”
From Kathy SD: Best Sheets ever
“Jennifer Adams sheets are truly the softest and most comfortable sheets. They feel so soft and heavenly. These sheets are made with high quality material. I wash them every weekend and they look brand new and remain to feel so soft. They are also wrinkle free, low maintenance. I have mine for over a year and bought the white and graphite. Definitely worth the investment. I can tell I will have these for a long time. Don’t miss out on Jennifer Adams sheets and the best deal for the best quality.”
From Bonnie22: Soft and comfy
“These are so far the most comfortable sheets I’ve ever bought. I took back 4 sets of sheets before trying these when my cotton sheets just about disintegrated. These were soft and usable after just one wash. I just ordered another set.”
From Mick W: You Won’t Believe These Are Microfiber
“We bought a set of microfiber sheets a few years ago and swore we’d never own another set. However, these Jennifer Adams microfiber sheets are nothing like those cheap microfiber sheets you get at the other big box stores. These are, as you would expect from Costco, very high quality. We absolutely love them and own a set for each bedroom [3 sets].”
From Nik_nak: AMAZING sheets!!
“These are the first sheets that actually fit our thick mattress (20″) AND they feel amazing!! Not only does the fitted sheet fit perfectly, but the flat sheet is extra long so you have plenty to tuck in so it won’t come off the end of the bed. I just ordered a 2nd set because I love these sheets so much & it’s too good of a deal to pass up. You won’t be disappointed in these!”
From KHoff: In Love!
“I first experienced this particular sheet when I rented a high end vacation home in the wine country. As soon as I went to bed I jumped up and sought out the label because I knew I had to have these sheets on my own bed. I looked on the Jennifer Adams website and sure enough they were super expensive. After further research I found that Costco would be carrying them. I waited and waited. Finally got them. Purchased the cal king in all the colors! They’re the softest sheets I’ve ever slept on. They’re generous sized too. Wash and dry like a dream. I also purchased the quilted blankets. I absolutely love this product and highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks Costco for the affordable pricing!!”
And the 5-star reviews keep coming (83 of them, to be specific). There are however, some lesser star reviews, noting that the sheets pill and sleep hot, and also that older sheets were excellent, but the new crop that has made its way into stores are lesser quality (though we can’t confirm that).
Considering the reviews, what do you think? Do you own these sheets and also love them? Are you anti-microfiber sheets and are not convinced? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below!
