Otherland Garden Party candles

It feels like a lifetime or two since Netflix first debuted “Bridgerton,” the delightfully juicy series based on the Julia Quinn series and brought to the screen by Shonda Rhimes. (In fact, it’s been only four months, but time flies when you’re spending most of your time indoors.) And whether you’re waiting with bated breath until season drops, or you’re regularly rewatching the steamy reimagining of Regency-era British society, why not elevate the experience by lighting a perfectly thematic candle or two?

Enter the new Garden Party collection from Otherland, comprised of six floral-forward candles that even Lady Whistledown would approve of. In a press release, the brand noted that co-founder Abigail Cook Stone was inspired by the idea of secret gardens, such as the one from the beloved children’s book. The result? A collection of candles that would be perfectly in place wafting through a tea party or backyard dinner for two.

Each candle boasts at least 50 hours of burn time (provided you care for your candle properly!) and features at least three key scents. Among the collection is the white-floral Georgette, which Cook Stone said reminded her of a stately grandmother who always wears a big white hat; and the bright and cheery Canary, which features daffodil and cantaloupe, and is meant to evoke sunshine. Other options include a linen, mimosa, and gardenia blend called Clean Blossom, as well as Verdant Verve, which features notes of oakmoss, thyme, and neroli blossoms.

Each candle retails for $36, while a set of three costs $89. The company is also offering bespoke gift boxes for Mother’s Day, which means you’re sure to be the favorite kid in a few weeks. (Candles are AT-editor approved as gifts for any holiday, but especially to show a mom or mother figure in your life how much you care.) Add a fancy tea cup and saucer, and perhaps a cake or two, to turn the gift into one fit for high society.
