What costs nothing, takes seconds to complete and is a small detail that can have a surprisingly charming impact on your window? I spotted this tiny but clever detail on some drapes in this recent real-life home…it might be a way for you use a fashion accessory you may have been neglecting as well as jazz up your window coverings.

→ Use vintage bracelets to tie back your curtains!

It’s one of those “duh, of course!” ideas that you may have never considered before. But think about it—some of us may have drawers of vintage bracelets just sitting in the dark. (Or could pick some up next time you’re vintage shopping.) By using them to tie curtains back, you add a sweet detail to a curtain to jazz the whole window up and let fun vintage jewelry finds see more light.

And there are no rules that say you can’t wear them occasionally even if you use them to tie back curtains—just slip them off for a night out on the town and replace when its served its fashion purpose for the night. There are no rules about the bracelets having to match in the same room, either!
