This Viral TikTok Hack Recreates Hogwarts’ Floating Jack-O-Lanterns Using Target Pumpkins

No one does the holidays like Hogwarts, and Halloween is no exception. In fact, floating Jack-O-Lanterns hanging above students enjoying a Halloween feast remains one of the most iconic scenes in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” And as a viral TikTok proves, recreating the magic of that moment in your own home is easier than you might think.

TikTok creator Saraa (@sareishh) recently shared a clever DIY hack she used to recreate the floating “Harry Potter” pumpkins. To achieve the look, she purchased some light-up Jack-O-Lanterns from Target, then made holes in the top and hung them from the ceiling using fishing wire.

The video also included footage of the hanging pumpkins during both the day and at night, where they cast spooky orange and yellow shadows on the ceiling. Who needs a Hogwarts Express ticket to get into the holiday spirit?!
