These Flameless Floating Candles Are a Must-Have for Any “Harry Potter” Fan
October is two months away, which means it is time to begin collecting Halloween costumes, snacks, and most importantly — decorations. Whether you’re interested in decorating with a specific theme or bewitching your home, this TikToker may have given you an idea or two about a haunting way to add a little bit of light into your home.
On TikTok, Leah Doty shared a video of her latest find from At Home Store’s Halloween section. The ten-pack of floating candles, which resemble the floating candles from Hogwarts’ Great Hall, are not only a must-have decor for any “Harry Potter” fan, but talk about spooky! In her videos, each candle’s light seems fairly bright depending on the amount of light in the room.
On her TikTok account, Doty explained that the lights are operated with a remote control and need individual AAA batteries. Similar to what you’re probably thinking, the remote control was definitely a missed opportunity to be shaped like a wand.
In order to attach them to her ceiling, Doty purchased Command strips and attached them to translucent string to hang each candle. Although, we’re sad to learn that these candles do not use magic to float by themselves, but at least it’s an easy set up.
The $30 ten-pack of candles is sold out online at AT Home Store, but Doty pointed out that Pottery Barn sells a Harry Potter-themed set of ten candles for $149. If you don’t happen to be located near an At Home and uninterested in DIYing, a six-pack of the item is available on Amazon for $20. According to the reviews, the flameless candles hold up fairly well and are convenient for weddings, too.
Halloween is around the corner and clearly, items are selling out quickly. Visit the Halloween section at your nearest AT Home Store for this find, and don’t forget — it’s never too early to put up decorations.
