This Company Wants to Pay You Stay in Apartments Around the World
The digital age has made it easier than ever to find travel gigs, from living on a Scottish island with more deer than people to becoming a penguin officer in Antarctica. But if you’re yearning to do some good old-fashioned travel and get paid for it, apartment rental service Blueground’s current job opening might be right up your alley.
The company is hiring its first-ever Blueground Resident TikTok Creator. With a base salary of $30,000 (or $10,000 a month) and a $7,500 travel stipend, the role will give the creator an opportunity to stay in Blueground apartments across the world, creating TikTok content for the brand in major cities like Athens, Lisbon, Paris, London, Singapore, Madrid, and more.
Blueground’s ideal candidate is “a TikTok extraordinaire that never tires of the potential to connect with audiences in new and inspiring ways,” a “wanderlust enthusiast,” and uunderstands the “technical stuff” — such as setting up a tripod, using a ring light, efficiently editing content, and speaking naturally to the camera. You don’t need to be a verified TikTok influencer, but knowledge of social media trends and a passion for travel are major pluses.
Right now, the Resident TikTok Creator position is a three-month temporary residency with the potential to extend further. Creators must be available to assume the role from May 1 to August 1, 2023, and produce and upload between 15 to 20 videos for Blueground’s official TikTok account each month.
