Tracee Ellis Ross’ House Is a Masterclass in Bold Paint Colors
Tracee Ellis Ross loves a bold color, as evidenced by every outfit, beauty look, and accessory she’s ever worn. So it’s not too surprising that she fills her home with just as much color, and she’s officially making the case for painting just about every room in your house a different bold shade.
Back in 2017, the “Black-ish” star gave a glimpse into her stunning Los Angeles home, revealing both her kelly green front door and her deep blue living room. On Instagram, Ellis Ross is a fan of showing off her eclectic taste in fashion by way of expert photos from around her home, and every single shade is more vibrant than the next.
First up, there’s the room which features floor to ceiling teal walls, which Ellis Ross has shown off a few times on Instagram lately during fittings and virtual press events. The actress’ teal walls are complemented by a large plant, artwork on the walls, a thick-cut glass table topped with a stack of books, and a wicker basket on the floor.
Ellis Ross also has not one but two pink rooms in her home, which she described to Vogue as being “warm, safe, [and] fun.” One room features a slightly subdued shade of bubblegum pink, paired with light plank wood floors and a matching wooden door. There’s also another room with a stunning shade of magenta, and unsurprisingly, both walls make for an incredible photo backdrop for her signature Instagram fashion moments.
Though she hasn’t revealed which rooms are the ones with such bold shades, aside from her blue living room, which provides a calming, cozy respite from her busy day to day life, it’s clear Ellis Ross is all about infusing her love of color anywhere she can. Adding to the standout shades is the fact that she extends her paint picks from ceiling to baseboard, enveloping each room with an unmistakable vibe and a dose of happiness on even the (rare) dreariest of days in her sunny hometown.
