It’s no secret that Trader Joe’s is filled with grocery staples, snacks, and treats that you can’t get anywhere else. Even the totes are famous. But what often comes as a surprise to people who don’t visit the beloved chain often is that it’s also a treasure trove of seasonal decor and small potted plants. The best part? They’re all priced as affordably as the groceries that line the store’s shelves.

As summer begins to draw to a close, Trader Joe’s is busy unveiling its fall lineup. And this year it includes a particularly adorable new addition to the garden section: Trader Joe’s Mini Can Foliage. These little plants come in canned food planters, and they are so cute that you are going to want to collect all four varieties.

The mini houseplants come in four different vessels: tomato paste, corn, organic pumpkin, and green jackfruit. The types of plants vary quite a bit, and no combination of plant and can is exactly alike. The cans look nearly identical to the ones that contain the corresponding Trader Joe’s canned foods, and they cost only $5 each.

“Omg 😱 if my store has them, I want all 4! 🪴 🪴 🪴 🪴” wrote one Trader Joe’s shopper. “😍Love it 🪴!!! I used to have a few old yellow Springle Jangle cans that I added some plants to and loved it for years!” said another. “I got the green jackfruit. It’s so adorable 🥰” added a third.

Adding a splash of greenery into your home can truly breathe new life into the space and even help you relax. Plus, they add a pop of fun color and are almost guaranteed to earn you compliments. Head to Trader Joe’s ASAP, or risk the mini can planters selling out before you have a chance to buy them.
