This Company Is Looking For a Chief Adventure Officer, And It Could Be You
If your travel bug is getting unbearably itchy after the past 14 months, you’re not alone. Here’s an opportunity for someone who wants to explore the great outdoors and get paid at the same time.
San Diego-based tech company WhistleOut is looking to hire a Chief Adventure Officer (CAO) whose role is to explore scenic outdoor destinations, such as Yosemite National Park or the Great Smoky Mountains, and take lots and lots of nature photos. It’s the dream job for those who enjoy hiking, camping, and generally, for those who are officially done with WFH and Zoom meetings.
For their effort, the CAO will be given a new smartphone to take breathtaking travel pictures with, up to $500 reimbursement for travel expenses, and $1,000.
What does it take to become a Chief Adventure Officer? You have to be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US. As for photography skills, the company says that you don’t have to be the “next Ansel Adams,” and that you only need to know how to snap a good smartphone pic to inspire your social media followers.
“We hope that when people see the CAO’s adventure photos, they’ll realize how easy and accessible it is to get outside and capture the beauty that’s right around them, especially if they have the right smartphone to do so!” said Maddie Peterson of WhistleOut.
You can send in your application from now until May 21. The lucky adventurer will be announced on WhistleOut’s YouTube channel on May 28. You can head on over to their website to learn more.
