Travis Barker Has Teamed Up with Buster + Punch For an Edgy New Homeware Range
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has partnered up with London-based home and lifestyle brand Buster + Punch to bring an edgy homeware collection that’s sure to delight rock fans everywhere. The Skull collection is Barker’s first ever venture into the homeware space, aligning with the welcomed pop-punk renaissance that’s taking social media by storm.
Featuring eye-catching home decor and accessories including door stops, a unique cast bowl, cabinet knobs, a table light, candle holders, and a drum key made to Barker’s specifications, the range explores the skull as a symbol and is a collaboration born from both Buster + Punch and Barker’s mutual love of design and architecture.
“I’ve been obsessed with skulls forever—from the first time I saw artists like Pushead, who put skulls on the Misfits and Metallica albums, and Zero skateboards back in the day,” said Barker in a press release announcing the collection. “I’ve always loved them, they scream rock ’n’ roll, they scream danger, and poison. Skulls stand against everything, so to present them in a way like this and take it to a new level is special.”
The homeware collection is available in steel or brass, and the intricate detailing of the skull designs make each and every item an eye-catching statement piece for any room of the home. Buster + Punch is renowned for its extensive knowledge of working with solid metals, using precise engineering techniques, casting processes, and hand finishing that make the pieces completely unique. “Travis and I have poured our blood, sweat and styles into this collaboration,” says Massimo Buster Minale, founder and creative director of Buster + Punch. “The range grew from a beautiful sketch Travis made of a drum key and ended up as a statement of design today—unexpected, functional, fluid and, most importantly, impossible to pigeonhole. In this way it’s a collection that reflects our outlook on creativity.”
