These Blackout Curtains Block So Much Light, I Sleep Past Sunrise
When my husband and I recently made over our primary bedroom, our design inspiration was simple: We wanted it to feel like our favorite hotel suites. That meant a cozy, sophisticated color palette, luxe bedding, statement lighting, and, perhaps most importantly, dramatic floor-to-ceiling curtains. We live on a corner with streetlights on both sides of our house, so our existing window treatments weren’t just falling flat design-wise — they also weren’t keeping our bedroom dark enough at night.
Enter: the TWOPAGES Liz Linen Drapes which I’d been seeing all over my design inspo feeds for years now. Their tailored pinch pleats had exactly the elevated, boutique-hotel vibes I wanted, and the option to add 100% blackout lining promised to solve our streetlight problem, too. Spoiler: These curtains delivered on both fronts, and completely transformed our bedroom in the process.
What Are the TWOPAGES Liz Linen Drapes?
The Liz Linen Drapes are made from a heavyweight linen-polyester blend and come in a wide range of colors, sizes, pleat styles, and lining options, so you can customize them to your space. We chose the Beige White color with pinch pleats, 100% blackout lining, and body memory shaping, which trains the pleats to hold their beautiful, structured shape. We used two panels on each of our bedroom’s two large windows and hung them nearly floor-to-ceiling for maximum drama, of course.
If you’re debating colors, order the swatches first. It took my husband and me days to narrow down the right shade from the swatch booklet, and honestly the fabrics are so much more nuanced and beautiful in person. I wanted a warm neutral that would complement our ivory upholstered bed and crisp white window trim without introducing another strong color into the room. Choosing these in Beige White was exactly it: soft and subtle, but nowhere near boring.
Why I Love the TWOPAGES Liz Linen Drapes
I knew these curtains would look good, but I underestimated just how much they would change the room. The fabric is incredibly soft yet substantial, and the memory-trained pleats practically float around our windows. Between the pinch pleats, the floor-to-ceiling installation, and all that gorgeous fabric, they instantly gave our bedroom the polished, cocooning hotel-suite feel we’d been chasing throughout the makeover. They really were the jewelry the room needed.
And thankfully, they’re just as functional as they are beautiful. Our 100% blackout lining is serious — as in, is it actually morning? serious. We can no longer tell if the sun is up until the alarm goes off, which is exactly what we wanted. If you rely on morning sunlight to coax you out of bed, I’d choose a lighter lining option, but for fellow dark-room sleepers, I can’t recommend it enough. Ours also arrived neatly rolled with the pleats protected, and after about 20 minutes of hanging and a quick light steam, they looked custom-made for the room. Five stars, no notes — except that I’m already plotting which room gets TWOPAGES curtains next.
