Summer is beginning to wind down, which means it’s the time of year when brands have major end-of-season sales and unveil their new fall collections. Starting early is Urban Outfitters, which just launched their Fall 2020 Furniture Collections this week. While most of the products included in the new collections won’t be available to ship until September, you can view them online and pre-order them now.

So what’s up with the new lines? There are four to shop from: Modern Apartment, Natural Space, Out West, and Dream Suite. While each one is different, they all draw inspiration from the past in some way and include natural materials (yup, including rattan), rounded shapes, and plenty of texture. Read on for a primer on all four collections and the top standout products, or start browsing online here.

Modern Apartment

Designed with small-space living in mind, the Modern Apartment collection features curved furniture, graphic prints, and statement drawer pulls. UO describes the overall vibe as influenced by both modern aesthetics and ’80s nostalgia, and the collection definitely contains the most eye-catching designs from the Fall 2020 launch. There’s a tall wooden cabinet that’s perfect for storing just about anything from food to cookware to linens to shoes, as well as a downright beautiful rounded bar cart you’ll never want to be without. Other statement pieces include this low-profile printed rug, 2-tier coffee table, and sculptural ceramic planter.

Natural Space

If mid-century modern is more your style, the Natural Space collection can be described as MCM with a twist. Sleek and serene, the line features organic shapes, smart storage, and even some rustic vibes. Among the coolest items in the collection are this ultra cozy chair (and matching sofa!), made-to-order wall mirror, and striking dual floor lamp. There’s also a very nice assortment of bedroom furniture, including this arched headboard that’s basically a piece of art and this roomy floating nightstand.

Out West

If it’s rattan you want, the Out West collection is what you need to browse first. Full of “folksy desert vibes,” this line is packed with rattan elements, wood furniture, and ornate patterns, plus bold pops of color and tons of texture. The products in this line are overall less expensive than the others, including this rattan-wood coffee table, embroidered mirror, and bobbin-legged nightstand. There’s a good assortment of ceramic pieces as well, like this vase-shaped side table and perforated table lamp.

Dream Suite

Finally, there’s the Dream Suite collection, the line that’s most inspired by a vintage aesthetic. This collection definitely leans more whimsical, with floral wallpaper, soft textures, rattan furniture, and delicate accessories. You’ll find big-ticket items like this gorgeous rattan canopy bed, small rattan vanity (and matching stool), and seriously dreamy chaise lounge, as well as smaller products like this flower vanity tray, comfy pouf, and floral metal wall hook.
