Urban Outfitters Is Launching Six Furniture Collections For Spring–Here Is A Sneak Peek
Major blizzards or no, spring is on its way. And the first harbinger of warmer months? Spring collections rolling out at stores. Like a breath of fresh air after a long winter, it’s the perfect excuse to revive your space with pieces that are lighter, brighter, or just plain newer feeling.
Urban Outfitters began to quietly roll out their spring collection last week, and while the full collection won’t be online for a few more weeks, much of it is available now. Here’s your first look at the almost-complete collection, with pieces starting at under $100, all the way to a statement couch that’s going to become your friend’s must-Insta-story spot in your apartment.

Camila Collection
Retro with a sense of updated humor, this is 2019 interpreting the ’80s interpreting the ’50s. In other words, the silhouettes and colors are giving us equal parts Golden Girls and Mad Men and we’re not mad about it. The Camila couch is the standout, providing a relatively accessible price point ($1,099) for a unique shape and color. Not ready to grab a new couch? The ottomans, starting at $99, can go together, with the couch, or on their own, and the biggest size can even stand in for a coffee table.
Another piece we’re eyeing is the Alana bookshelf, which provides dynamic storage for everything from your plants to your books to your favorite Bluetooth speaker, a piece of technology both Dorothy Zbornak and Don Draper would scratch their heads at.

Ria Collection
With vintage vibes to spare, this collection is great for anyone looking to up their rattan game–or still have that laid-back, mattress-on-the-floor vibe without, y’know, actually having a mattress on the floor. Breezy and feminine, there’s even a side table ode to the female form. The collection goes great with muted and natural tones, but it’s hardly the manic pixie dream girl of furniture collections. The room divider ($249) is a studio dweller’s dream, and it folds up for times when you do want to open the space. The Ria leaning mirror ($179) provides clever form and function, allowing you to use the rungs as jewelry storage and even as a solution to the bedroom chair.

Howell Collection
Bolder, richer, and leaning towards masculine, the industrial collection’s use of black and wood means it can go with just about anything. It’s also one of the few collections to include a dining room table, complete with collapsible stools that store underneath. There’s a definite loft vibe here, with no-frills pieces built for lots of open storage. Take the Kater storage system, designed to provide an alternative to boring TV consoles. Or you can use it to house your record player and a statement print, as show below:

Finley Collection
Like the industrial collection, this one uses dark colors to anchor the collection, mixed with dark wood. More reminiscent of nature, it feels like a happy middle between the industrial and boho lines. Designed to make a space feel like a peaceful retreat, the pieces are begging to be paired with green plants, yoga mats, and hanging tapestries. The minimalist approach isn’t boring, however. The Reid convertible sofa, for example, includes a side table that can replace your coffee table and fold down into a bed for visitors–for just $749.
A large part of the sale is the Finley set, which come in a natural brown and more impactful black. The angles and visible grain almost make it look like stone. Most of the pieces are available for preorder, like the six-drawer dresser.

Wyatt Collection
At a slightly lower price point than many other Urban Outfitters furniture collections, the Wyatt collection is designed specifically for people filling out their first apartment. The pieces can fit in with just about any existing design scheme–perfect for anyone recently on their own with a collection of hand-me-downs and thrift store finds. Getting several pieces, like the Wyatt bed and dresser, also allows everything to feel purposeful rather than just thrown together.

The Great Outdoors
This is more of a mini-collection, with three pieces (so far): a macrame hammock (that clearly also looks great outdoors) and an outdoor rattan chair and side table. Grabbing two chairs and the side table (and maybe a planter or two) is enough to turn any tiny city porch into a small oasis. Another small set of woven lawn chairs are more suitable for someone with an actual backyard to lounge in. Is it rosé season yet?
