Here’s Where You Can Get Vanessa Carlton’s “Magic” Wall Mural
Before Vanessa Carlton and her family moved to their (old) Colonial home in New England, Carlton, like many of us, was trying to find quick and easy ways to spruce up a bland living space during the lockdown in 2020.
Her solution was a peel-and-stick wall mural from Anthropologie, which is still available to purchase on the website.
“I’m not a crafty person but DID succeed in hanging this self-adhesive mural,” Carlton captioned her December 2020 post. “If you have a boring white room and don’t want to paint I highly recommend putting up a mural in 2020. It’s pretty magical. This one is @anthropologie. Yes I’ve been in pajamas all day doing this. It only took about 3 hours though.”
Carlton installed the Judarn Mural by York Wallcoverings on the wall behind her daughter’s canopy bed. The mural is inspired by an antique Swedish tapestry and comes in eight panels for easy installation.
It’s also paste-free, which makes both installing and removing mess-free (and also makes the piece renter-friendly).
A single mural covers 108 square feet of wall space, so take this into consideration if and when you decide to install it. Like Carlton, you may not need to use all eight panels to fill your wall.
Buy: Judarn Mural, $298
Anthropologie currently has 16 murals available on its website, with several similarly designed to look like tapestries — all of which are also “magical.”
Like Carlton said, these peel-and-stick options are a great way to spruce up a boring blank space without having to crack open a can of paint.
