“Fixer to Fabulous” stars Dave and Jenny Marrs never expected to take HGTV by storm. In fact, they deleted the first email they ever received from the network, assuming it was spam. Several years (and five kids) later, the couple has achieved HGTV stardom on their popular show where they restore historic homes, and are now heading into their fourth season. But they’re also expanding beyond the TV screen: They sat down with Better Homes & Gardens to chat about the debut of their new outdoor capsule collection that’s available now in-stores and online Walmart.

The warm capsule collection of 18 pieces is filled with natural textures that create relaxing outdoor spaces that can withstand a busy life with children and guests. It includes everything from an easy-to-assemble porch swing, which is one of Dave’s signature pieces to build when he takes on custom projects.

“I want people to look at [our pieces] and say, this is great quality, and it’s okay to use this and have gatherings around it,” Dave told BHG. “It’s not a museum piece.”

One of the other larger pieces of the collection is a weather-resistant dining table and chairs made from a high-grade teak wood. The piece, which seats six to eight guests, was created to focus on helping family and friends enjoy their time together.

“For us, it’s all about bringing people around the table, and all that the table represents,” Jenny explained. “It’s just a key part of any outdoor space.”

After they had the big pieces planned out, the duo moved to smaller ones, like weatherproof rugs that embrace the indoor/outdoor lifestyle and mix-and-match throw pillows and floor poufs. There’s also two outdoor lighting pieces, including solar-powered pendant lights with battery-operated candles for a kid and pet-friendly option.

“Our lighting gives the space a cozy, warm feel. When you put the pendant light or lanterns up it feels like you’re ready for a party, which I love,” said Jenny.

The collection is the culmination of lots of hard work for the couple, who designed prototypes of every piece in the collection. They chose wood samples, picked color schemes, and perfected each piece so you can revamp a space with just a couple items, or build an entirely new outdoor area to enjoy the upcoming summer season.

“We’re really excited for our collection to be out in the world,” said Jenny, who used the pieces to decorate The Welcome Inn, the couple’s new Airbnb in Bentonville, Arkansas, where they live in a 1906 farmhouse they restored, and film their show. “We’ve been working on this for so long, and it finally feels real.”
