Spring cleaning is just around the corner. Rather than rallying the mental and physical energy to gather tools and make cleaners right before you start the actual cleaning, get everything ready to go beforehand and stored in the smart and sensible place. Having your supplies organized feels great and makes one less hurdle for you to climb before getting started.

This Weekend’s Assignment: Get ready to spring into cleaning with a fresh batch of homemade cleaners, and the tools you need to get the job done.

Assess Your Cleaning Supplies: Gather all your products and tools in one place (including refills, duplicates, and empty things like spray bottles) to get a clear picture of what you already own and what you still need:

Whip Up Some Natural Refills: Once you know where the holes are in your cleaning arsenal, take basic household ingredients and mix up your favorite cleaners.

Remember, as with all of our Weekend Projects, just do what you have the time and energy to do. If you only get a change to swap out the batteries, pat yourself on the back anyway. Because your home is safer than it was yesterday!
