The Soft-Yet-Crisp West Elm Linen Sheets I Love Are on Major Sale Right Now
Linen sheets aren’t always easy to love right off the bat. It usually takes me at least a few washes, maybe even a couple of months, to get them to the highly coveted, softly wrinkled, luxuriously cozy stage. The snag? When you’re looking for a new set to help you through the temperature shift from winter to spring, you don’t often have the luxury of time to spare. That’s why West Elm made it easy for all of us to keep up with the seasons with a set of ready-to-go linen sheets... and then they put them on sale for Sleep Week.
I got to test West Elm’s European Flax Linen Sheets, and when it comes to bedding that’s irresistible straight out of the package, these are high achievers (thus, Best List winners!). I’ll admit, I was tempted to put them on my bed right after I opened them, but I followed the brand’s recommendation to give them a first wash for extra safety and mattress protection from dye and pilling. Initial wash out of the way, I dove right into my set, a sumptuously warm, heathered-clay hue dubbed Terracotta Melange that almost seemed to glow from within.
I was impressed by the look of the sheets on my bed straight away. Basically, without anything new on my walls or anything else on my bed, these sheets transformed the space into my dream room. They gave my bare-bones bedroom a punch of color, texture, warmth, and light. Though soft from the get-go, the worn-in goodness only increased after washing, and the slight texture of the flax linen gave them just enough grip to keep me from slipping and sliding around in my bed — a serious pet peeve. Hoping to discover West Elm’s secret to what made this textile look and feel so beautiful, I went back to the website to read up on the sheets’ specifications. That’s when I saw the other colors, and let’s just say, I want them all.
From Lilac Melange to Silver Mist, Amber, and Natural Flax Stripe, these West Elm sheets come in some of the most striking shades I’ve seen when it comes to linen. You can buy a complete set (flat sheet, fitted sheet, two pillowcases) in one color, or mix and match by purchasing a la carte — they all compliment each other! They’re also machine washable and dryable. Just don’t forget to shake out the sheets after washing and before drying, then lay them flat when they’re warm from the dryer for the best look and preservation.
For a limited time only, these must-have linens are on sale for just $243. If you like what you see, I highly (highly!) recommend purchasing ASAP. A deal this good is bound to sell out fast.
