West Elm Is Launching a New Modern Kid’s Collection, and It’s Sophisticated Enough for Adults
Looking for pieces sophisticated and durable enough to grow up alongside your littles? Then add West Elm to your nursery or kid’s bedroom sourcing list. Yes, that West Elm. Today the Brooklyn-based modern retailer officially announced the relaunch of West Elm Kids with over 2,000 new products for babies, kids, and teens — plus, more than a few things that you might want yourself, too.
Like many other West Elm collections, an emphasis has been placed on organic fabrics and items with GreenGuard and Fair Trade certification. Furniture is a cornerstone of the new assortment, with 75 multi-functional and multi-purpose pieces such as 4-in-1 cribs, loft and storage beds, and convertible changing tables. Textiles will be emphasized, too, with West Elm introducing a number of new patterns and different fabric options to their bedding mix, including linen and jersey. Rugs, bath towels, and shower curtains round out the woven offerings.
The brand is also expanding its storage and small space-specific pieces to include whimsical options like animal-themed storage baskets. Toys, giftables, and functional pieces like this handsome mid-century easel will also be available.
If you need help pulling a room together, West Elm’s Design Crew is available for free (yes, free!) consultations. You can make an appointment to chat with a pro via a video or phone call, or you can visit your local store local West Elm store for assistance as well. Even if you don’t have children or shop much for little ones, this collection, particularly the bathroom textiles and case goods, are worth taking a look at. Something just might speak to you, and often kid furnishing lines are just as well-made but slightly less expensive than their adult counterparts.
