You can judge my very television-centric living room layout all you want, but I’m not ashamed to say that TV and movies play a huge role in my house. There’s nothing I love more than sinking into the sofa on the weekends (and some weeknights) with a glass of wine and a great story ready to unfold in front of me on that 60-inch screen.
To me — and maybe to many of you, I’m hoping — watching TV is an escape. A chance to live, even just for an hour, inside another world. Or at least another house. As perfectly demonstrated by my love of Nancy Meyers’ movies, the sets are almost as important to the plot for me. So I wanted to kick off our reader month Homebody Happy Hour chats with a question very near and dear to my heart.
