It’s easy to look at a dramatic interior design before-and-after and think, “I could never achieve that.” The good news, though, is that not all professionally designed rooms rely exclusively on boutique furniture and custom case goods. In fact, even pro decorators themselves turn to Amazon to source dependable room staples that work for a variety of spaces and design styles (plus, who can resist that two-day Prime shipping?).

Sure, Amazon has always been a good spot for sourcing coffee table books (remember when they only sold books?), but it’s also an endless — and often overwhelming — source for home goods. Designer Francesca Grace, founder of Francesca Grace Home, admits shopping on Amazon “can sometimes be a bit hit or miss, but if you’re willing to do some digging you can find some really great pieces to elevate your space without breaking the bank.”

That’s why, rather than sifting through thousands of reviews to find some of the best under-the-radar finds, I spoke with a few pros on the surprising Amazon pieces they turn to for their own design projects. Below, check out eight interior designer-approved Amazon home products, from everyday organizing essentials to timeless decorations that lend an Instagram-worthy look — all under $50.
