It’s easy to look at a dramatic interior design before-and-after and think, “I could never achieve that.” The good news, though, is that not all professionally designed rooms rely exclusively on boutique furniture and custom case goods. In fact, even pro decorators themselves turn to Amazon to source dependable room staples that work for a variety of spaces and design styles (plus, who can resist that two-day Prime shipping?).

Sure, Amazon has always been a good spot for sourcing coffee table books (remember when they only sold books?), but it’s also an endless — and often overwhelming — source for home goods. Designer Francesca Grace, founder of Francesca Grace Home, admits shopping on Amazon “can sometimes be a bit hit or miss, but if you’re willing to do some digging you can find some really great pieces to elevate your space without breaking the bank.”

That’s why, rather than sifting through thousands of reviews to find some of the best under-the-radar finds, I spoke with a few pros on the surprising Amazon pieces they turn to for their own design projects. Below, check out eight interior designer-approved Amazon home products, from everyday organizing essentials to timeless decorations that lend an Instagram-worthy look — all under $50.

“Amazon is one of our go-to shopping destinations when we need styling objects in a pinch! We love these marble salt & pepper cellars, which add character and function to our clients' kitchens. And the little brass spoon is just perfection.” —Designer Ashley Macuga of Collected Interiors

“One of my personal favorites are these travertine candle holders — their neutral tones blend effortlessly with most spaces, while their ridged design adds a touch of funkiness to any room.” —Designer Francesca Grace of Francesca Grace Home

“We are admittedly super-snobs about pillow inserts and have tried most of them, looking for the perfect fluff. ComfyDown are our faves by far, and Amazon carries a ton of shapes and sizes. We also love that they are made in the U.S. and are stitched to mitigate feathers from poking through.” —Designer Ashley Macuga

“I don't do a ton of shopping on Amazon, but my favorite thing there I actually recommend to clients is battery-powered lighting, like gallery lights and sconces — they make a world of difference in adding ambiance to a dark space without having electrical work done.” —Designer Paige Garland of Paige Garland Interiors

6 / 8
was $35.00

“For those who, like me, have a penchant for stripes, this marble cutting board is an absolute beauty. And at this price, it’s definitely a steal. Lean it against your kitchen’s backsplash to add a pop of color, or use it to make a stunning charcuterie board that will leave your guests drooling.” —Designer Francesca Grace

7 / 8
was $24.63

“A well-organized pantry is an essential element of any well-designed kitchen. When we are prepping for our final install for kitchens, we use Amazon to source canisters and bins that make the space look fantastic and functional, too. We love these gravity fed canisters for cereal and snacks.” —Designer Ashley Macuga

“As for my current summer staple, this ruffle-edged tablecloth has become a must-have. I’ve been using it in my backyard to add a little romantic flair to my outdoor dinner parties. The fabric feels super-luxurious and high-quality, which is really important to me.” —Designer Francesca Grace
