This Startup Has Modular Furniture That Will Save Space and Help the Planet
When it comes to saving space and time, modular furniture is a great option. The concept is pretty simple: modular furniture items allow you to customize your home with easy-to-move, pull-apart pieces that become a worthwhile investment. Moving house? The furniture can easily be brought along with you. It’s no surprise that many companies are leaning into the trend, offering more and more items that allow you to switch things up depending on your style and preference. But what about the ultimate all-in-one modular item?

Xylo Living, a modular furniture startup, has set up a campaign in the hopes of launching a flexible furniture platform that can be turned into almost every item you need, including a sofa, coffee table, and five-piece dining set. With easy to assemble and disassemble components, the platform can be built without the need for tools.
The system will consist of three main component types—connecting slats, side profile pieces, and surface pieces—that will be interchangeable between the different types of furniture. The sofa can be a two or three-seater, or it can be broken down into four individual chairs and a small dining table. The furniture pieces will be available in a light and a dark wood finish and will be available in a variety of fabric options: mint, aqua, blue, red, autumn, hay, and honey.
Ideal for micro-homes and those who are often on the go, the Xylo Living modular furniture set allows you to make the most of your living space.
“Traditional flatpack furniture is easy to bring home when first purchased but difficult to move after assembly,” the IndieGoGo campaign reads. “Xylo Living aims to reduce furniture waste by having a product that is easy to move no matter your form of transportation.”
Xylo Living has a projected release date of March 2023. Learn more at xyloliving.com.
