Horse-inspired design has been on the rise for some months. Experts say search data proves it: “We’re seeing a clear rise in what we’re calling ‘horse girl decor’ in the home,” says Tamara Rosenthal, VP of Marketing at Taskrabbit. “In the past month alone, western-related bookings on Taskrabbit increased 5% year over year. We’ve also seen a 93% jump in farm-inspired design tasks and a 12% increase in home projects featuring leather elements,” she told me.

With the Ralph Lauren aesthetic making a big comeback towards the end of last year (and keeping the momentum going with a fantastic runway show at New York Fashion Week just days ago), this trend shows no signs of slowing down. “From adding leather details to installing barn-style elements,” Rosenthal says, “people are designing homes that capture a romantic yet grounded lifestyle that feels both nostalgic and entirely within reach.”

I don’t see this trend slowing down any time soon — it is the Year of the Horse, after all. If you want the same for your space this year, you’re in luck. Check out a few of my own favorite horse-inspired decor finds below to incorporate that timeless equestrian energy into your space.

Printed Goods Horse 16" Drum Lamp Shade
$148

This stunning lampshade from Anthropologie might be a more literal take on the trend, but it’s also super stylish. The “fire horse” energy definitely shines through (pun intended), with deep reds and bright pops of gold. This shade would make a statement in any space.

Milola Design Riding School Horse Animal Wallpaper
$298

I’m loving darker wallpaper these days — especially when it’s vintage-inspired. This stunning print from Milola Design is no exception. Rich but muted colors make this a bold design choice for any space, although I’d really LOVE to see it in a powder room.

Arthur Court Designs Equestrian Candlestick
$52

This taper candleholder is definitely a more subtle nod to the equestrian influence. Modeled to look like a stirrup, this piece would make an elegant accent styled on any table, mantel, or shelf.

Playa Horse Pillow
$150

Another more literal take on the trend, but I simply couldn’t resist this gorgeous throw pillow from Jonathan Adler. Featuring an embroidered galloping horse on a rich rusty velvet background, this piece is a super-fun way to add a pop of color and equine influence to just about any space.

Equestrian Brass Curtain Rod
$88

These curtain rods from Anthropologie were inspired by a horse’s bridle bit, as are many luxury handbags and shoes. A subtly iconic symbol, and a nod to equestrian style that’s guaranteed to be as timeless as a Gucci loafer — what’s not to love?

Equestrian Leather Mirror
$190

Artist Stephanie Reppas creates leather-wrapped equestrian-inspired wall mirrors with actual authentic tackle gear. These mirrors certainly make a fashionable statement without being too obviously “horse girl”-coded. They're handmade in New York, and you can choose from several sizes and colors or order a custom piece from her Etsy shop.

Horsebit Leather Catchall
$79

I’ll never get tired of a leather tray, and this one from Mark and Graham is particularly gorgeous. This leather-wrapped piece features horsebit handles in either gold or silver, for a perfectly elegant equestrian touch.

Cowboy Boot Table Lamp
$229

How could this list be complete without a cowboy boot? If you know me, you know I love boots of any kind (table lamps, too). And no, I’m not ready to give up the cowboy boot trend just yet! This West Elm piece is such a fun and funky touch.
